I brought my pup here a few times before the last time. After a grooming accident, I saw a vet the next day. She was very sweet and said that he sustained a traumatic cataract and that it was likely from the grooming, but that it happens. I was still devastated. I took him in again for a check up on the cataract with Dr. Ross and it had gotten worse in a short period of time. He also told me that it would likely not grow (it did by our next visit with him), so an ophthalmologist visit would be overkill. At the next visit, he claimed that it was not traumatic and that those didn't even exist even though it was very likely due to the unique pattern and the fact that it was only one eye.. He then suggested to go to the ophthalmologist. I never went back here due to the poor handling of my pup's care.
This animal hospital is by far the best place I've gone to. They do curiosity calls after each appt. They help out with your animals as much as they can.
Had reason to bring our 2 dogs to Dr. "Mac". There are very few Vets that will get down on the floor and spend almost a full HOUR examining, explaining and answering every question we had. I haven't met a vet like him and we've had dogs at various vets for 35 years. He didn't try to sell us this test or that vaccine. To the contrary because of the types of dogs we have and their environment he actually saved us plenty of money. I couldn't recommend Dr. Mac more highly!
