Tisane is a small and cozy place to get good drinks. Their drinks are unique and the food is good too. I highly recommend visiting this cafe for date night or going out with friends. My only complaint is the parking. It's hard to find a spot because the parking area is small. But don't let that stop you from trying this place out.
I chose this place from an online search to meet a friend and glad I did. I'm normally not a coffee guy and wanted to get something non cafinated and saw the tea menu. They do real loose leaf tea and have a great assortment. I ordered a chocolate and roobios tea. It was delicious by the way. The only negative thing I can saw is the parking. The lot was full, probably because the place was hopping. Definitely check out this place, it's worth the trip!
The food is very good... but the service is not good. Our waitress (blond highlights and I think names Bridgette) while a very nice person, was not attentive to our table. Our forks weren't given to us at the beginning of the meal, from what I recall she never stopped by to see how things were or if we needed more (we also had to leave the table or ask for her to come) and we didn't have our order taken for a long time. She was very kind but maybe server training would be a benefit.
The food is always good, but the menu is short and almost never changes. The bar suffers from a similar situation. A small cocktail menu with few choices. If you want a drink off menu be prepared to explain what's in it.
A trendy cafe and bar that serves amazing euro Asian fusion cuisine, wonderful teas, and some of the best cocktails in Connecticut. There is nothing there that falls short of being spectacular. The staff is consistently phenomenal and provide exceptional service that one would expect from a far more expensive restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough.
