Love the atmosphere...it feels like a Brooklyn bar in the middle of Hartford. I'm a bourbon/whiskey guy and I was really impressed with their selection. A lot of choices at different price points. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and service is good. A nice place to go for happy hour or on a weekend night with a group.
Very cool atmosphere inside, bartenders were polite. Drinks interesting. Wish there was more than one bathroom.
Really unfortunate experience in what seemed like a super cool place. It was busy and we were told to take a table that hadn't been cleared - no problem. It took at least 5 minutes for the waitress to clear it (but not wipe it down) - again, whatevs, we weren't in a hurry. She said she'd be right back. We picked out drinks...and waited another 10 minutes while other tables were waited on and the waitress avoided eye contact. Finally we flagged her down to ask - nicely - if we could place an order and she responded, "As I *said,* I'll be right with you." So we left. Look, I get when a place is busy you have to wait, but I could do without the snide attitude when we'd been nothing but patient and pleasant. One star for atmosphere which was amazing. I bet the drinks are great, but we never found out.
Come here. Drink the cocktails. Enjoy the art. Visit regularly to see the mannequin's wardrobe changes. Simple, classic cocktails. Not so simple interesting twists on new and old classics. Always friendly service. If you are in the mood for something and can kind of describe what you are thinking of, even if it doesn't exist, they'll come back to you with the perfect cocktail. Spend more time on this block in general. Your life will improve.
Drinks were good. Only thing that could be better was the service. Forgot a drink an we waited 30 min with no check, then waited a while for them to get the check. But overall cool place. Just the service, could be better. Bartenders r nice, just the check thing..
